SESSION TITLE: Second Grade Global Communication & Collaboration Science Research and Publishing Project

SETTING THE STAGE Welcome, to day 2 of the Secnond Grade Global Communication & Collaboration Science Research and Publishing Project
This project is designed to integrate the elements of Nonfiction Literacy with technology to create a print and ebook. We will look at some online resources available to support the project, explore the project's website and discuss the standards that this project addresses.

Session Overview: In this session you will have an opportunity to use the PowerPoint template to create a sample project, use Lintor publishing material to bind a book,
develop a rubric, record narration into a PowerPoint, use Skype.

In this session we will become familiar with the strategies to create and publish a book to showcase student work.
Model downloading PowerPoint template
Model recording narration
Demonstrate importing narration into PowerPoint
Demonstrate binding books with Lintor Publishing materials
Model Skype

Guided Practice
Take some time now to download and populate the PowerPoint template
Record a narration
Import narration into PowerPoint
Bind a book using Lintor materials
Use Skype to communicate with someone in the workshop
